Active Living = Healthy Living
Research overwhelmingly has shown that walking 30 minutes 5 days a week at a moderate pace (3 mph) will benefit your health by building muscle mass, improving heart and lung function, promoting weight loss and lowering your risk for chronic diseases such as diabetes.
30 minutes of daily moderate physical activity (walking at 3-4 mph) has shown to reduce cardiovascular deaths by 30%,
risk of type 2 diabetes by 58% and stroke by 24%.
It’s that simple. All you need is a commitment to improve your health and fitness, a reasonably nice day, a little effort to get off the couch and Lake City will provide you with scenic and enjoyable places to walk, jog, bike, swim and begin active living.
