The activity this morning on the Riverwalk was light, a few walkers, joggers and dogs taking their masters for a stroll. Roschen Park was again full of fishing trailers and the lake full of fishermen and woman. Too early in the day for sailors and boaters but the marina was busy with people coming and going to Washington Street for their special cup of coffee at Rabbits, Hope’s Harvest or Rhythm and Brew.
I stopped into Hope’s Harvest to look at the art gallery Susan has started in her extra space next to the store. There was wonderful photography by Jeff Bartelt and oil paintings by his wife Annette featured in the gallery this month. Stop by and take a look. Their work truly captures the beauty of Lake Pepin.
If you missed the group walking and geocaching at Ho-si-la Park you missed great weather, a fun activity and yummy gourmet s’mores. We are planning a group walk in July featuring the historical homes in town. Watch the Graphic for details.
Water Ski Days 4Oth celebration this weekend. Head downtown and take in some of the many activities that are featured and especially the parade on Sunday. While you’re there, take a walk on the Riverwalk, stop and look around, take a deep breath and pause to see the beauty around you and be grateful.
See you on the Riverwalk!
