There is still time to sign up for the 16th season of “Walking Lake Pepin” (WLP). This community walking challenge invites Lake City residents to sign up and commit to starting or increasing their level of moderate physical activity to improve fitness and “active living”. The event runs 10 weeks from June 4 to August 12.
Registration and details about the challenge continues at Treats and Treasures on Washington St, Anytime Fitness on 7th Street or online at walkinglakpepin.com.
This year’s WLP slogan “JAYden WALKING” celebrates our youngest walker Jayden Lichtenberg who begins his 8th year of participation in WLP.
WLP challenges participants to either sign up to walk 150 minutes (or more) a week OR 150 miles over the 10 week event.
Weekly group walks are being scheduled starting on Wednesday, June 7th at 6:30 pm. The first WLP group walk of the season will be at Hok-si-la Park. All are welcome to attend.
